Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western
and North Central for Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
316 PM CDT Tue Apr 30 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Through sunset, we could see some near critical fire weather
conditions in southwestern Nebraska, particularly in areas where
green-up hasn`t commenced. Relative humidity this afternoon is
around 20 percent and northwesterly winds are gusting up to 50 MPH
in some locations. Winds should quickly diminish this evening as
temperatures cool. On Thursday, we could see some elevated fire
weather conditions thanks to minimum RH around 20 percent with
gusty northwesterly winds of 20 to 30 MPH.
