...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 PM CDT
FOR CENTRAL PECOS COUNTY...

At 326 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles south of
Fort Stockton, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported golf-ball sized hail 11 miles
         south of Fort Stockton along US 385 at 321 PM CDT.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
         considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
         mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
central Pecos County.

This includes Interstate 10 between mile markers 272 and 274.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
