...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN MIDDLESEX...SOUTHEASTERN
NEW HAVEN AND CENTRAL SUFFOLK COUNTIES THROUGH 700 AM EDT...

At 620 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Manorville, moving north at 60 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Wading River and Calverton around 625 AM EDT.
  Guilford around 640 AM EDT.
  Clinton and Killingworth around 645 AM EDT.
  Westbrook around 650 AM EDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Cloud to ground lightning is possible with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
