Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
223 PM PDT Thu Apr 18 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Dry conditions are expected through Saturday afternoon, then
precipitation chances will begin to increase, first in the
Cascades, then elsewhere by Saturday night. However, the overall
rain chances will still remain 40 percent or less in the lower
elevations (with only a few hundredths of an inch expected). Dry
weather returns Sunday through Tuesday, with more precipitation
possible toward the end of next week.

There will be some breezy winds on Friday, mainly across western portions
of Fire Weather Zones 691 and 641 and Fire Weather Zone 694. Winds
could gust 25 to 35 mph. A more widespread breezy day is expected
on Sunday, with gusty winds across the Yakima Valley, Kittitas
Valley, Columbia Basin and Foothills of the Blue Mountains (mainly Fire
Weather Zones 641, 691, 694). Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

Afternoon MIN RH values will generally be 20-40%, with moderate
overnight recovery.

***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
