The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Sandy Hook to Great Egg Inlet NJ out 20 nm...
  Outer waters from Sandy Hook NJ to Fenwick Island DE out 20 to 40
  nm...

* Until 500 AM EDT.

* At 354 AM EDT, line of thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from 8 nm east of
  Atlantic City Reef to 15 nm northeast of Chicken Bone, moving
  northeast at 55 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Garden State North Reef, Garden State South Reef, and Shark River
  Reef.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water, stay below deck if possible and keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
