NORTHWESTERN WABAUNSEE...SOUTHEASTERN GEARY...SOUTHEASTERN RILEY AND
SOUTHWESTERN POTTAWATOMIE COUNTIES...

AT 703 PM CDT...EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORTED FLASH FLOODING IN AT
54TH AND EUREKA AND KANSAS HIGHWAY 18 JUST WEST OF ZEANDALE. FLASH
FLOODING IS ALREADY OCCURRING. HUMBOLT CREEK 4 MILES SOUTH OF
JUNCTION CITY WITH DEBRIS OVER THE ROAD. MCDOWELL CREEK ACROSS K-57
WAS FLOODED AS WELL.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
MANHATTAN...WAMEGO...ALMA...OGDEN...ST. GEORGE...MCFARLAND...LOUISVILLE...
VOLLAND AND KEATS.

THIS INCLUDES INTERSTATE 70 BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 302 AND 331.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND...DON`T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...FARMLAND...AND OTHER LOW LYING
SPOTS.
