* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHEASTERN WABAUNSEE COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS...
  WESTERN SHAWNEE COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS...
  NORTHWESTERN OSAGE COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS...
  NORTHERN LYON COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS...

* UNTIL 1230 AM CDT

* AT 828 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING
  HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. UP TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAVE
  ALREADY FALLEN. AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO INCHES IS POSSIBLE
  IN THE NEXT FEW HOURS. FLASH FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN SHORTLY.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  NORTHWESTERN TOPEKA...ROSSVILLE...ESKRIDGE...DOVER...SILVER LAKE...
  MAPLE HILL...HARVEYVILLE...ALLEN...ADMIRE...WILLARD...
  BUSHONG AND KEENE.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS...
 INTERSTATE 70 BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 340 AND 355.
 KANSAS TURNPIKE BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 137 AND 162.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND...DON`T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.
