Safety Message...Do not drive into flooded areas. Shallow flowing
water can wash a car from the roadway. Also, the roadbed may be
washed out under the water.

* until Tuesday evening.
* At  8:30 PM Sunday the stage was 33.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 31.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 33.3 feet by
  early Monday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Tuesday
  morning.
* Impacts...At 33 feet...the river approaches the base of the Main
  Street Bridge.

  area roads are also flooded.

  river from Americus to Emporia.

  Richmond floods.
