  Cottonwood River near Emporia affecting Lyon County
  Neosho River near Emporia 3nw affecting Lyon County
  Neosho River Near Neosho Rapids affecting Coffey and Lyon Counties

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety Message...Do not drive into flooded areas. Shallow flowing
water can wash a car from the roadway. Also, the roadbed may be
washed out under the water.

and local media.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Neosho River near Emporia 3nw.
* until late Monday night.
* At  7:00 AM Sunday the stage was 16.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by this afternoon and continue to
  rise to near 23.1 feet by Monday morning.The river will fall below
  flood stage by Monday evening.
* Impact...At 19.0 feet...Minor flooding occurs along the river
  upstream to Dunlap and downstream to Neosho Rapids.
* Impact...at 19.5 feet...Prairie Street, north of the bridge, floods.

* At  1:30 PM Sunday the stage was 18.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by this evening and continue to
  rise to near 26.5 feet by Monday early afternoon.The river will
  fall below flood stage by Tuesday afternoon.
* Impact...At 26.0 feet...Water covers large areas over both banks.

* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by late this afternoon and
  continue to rise to near 23.3 feet by Monday early afternoon.The
  river will fall below flood stage by Wednesday.
* Impact...At 24.0 feet...Highway K 99 on the south bank floods.
* Impact...At 20.0 feet...South bank of the Cottonwood River 1 mile
  south of Emporia floods.
