  Neosho River Near Neosho Rapids affecting Coffey and Lyon Counties

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety Message...Do not drive into flooded areas. Shallow flowing
water can wash a car from the roadway. Also, the roadbed may be
washed out under the water.

* until Wednesday afternoon.
* At  4:30 PM Sunday the stage was 32.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 31.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 34.3 feet by
  Monday evening. The river will fall below flood stage early
  Wednesday morning.

* Impact...At 21.0 feet...County Road Y 5 near the gage floods, 3
  miles north of Reading.

* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 22.6 feet by
  early Monday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Monday
  afternoon.
* Impact...At 22 feet...Prairie Street is under more than 2 feet of
  water.

  this evening.
* Impact...At 27.0 feet...The Missouri, Pacific and the Missouri,
  Kansas and Texas Railroad tracks overflow.

* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 26.6 feet by
  Monday early afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage early
  Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 26.0 feet...Road 145 on the west side of the bridge is
  under 3 feet of water...and water covers large areas over both banks.

* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tonight and continue to rise
  to near 26.1 feet by Monday early afternoon.The river will fall
  below flood stage by Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 27.0 feet...North Kansas Avenue just north of the
  railroad tracks floods.

  early Monday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Monday
  evening.
* Impact...At 25.6 feet...Water flows over Ohio Road north of the
  creek...and fields to the south of the creek near Ohio Road flood.

* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  this evening.
* Impact...At 10.0 feet...Minor low land flooding begins in farm field
  just west of the Highway 75 bridge.
