.DISCUSSION...

Very high fire danger conditions are expected across Coffey County
this afternoon. Northwest winds remain sustained between 15-20 MPH
with gusts upwards of 25 MPH. After sunset the winds should
decrease to 5-10 MPH. A slight shift to the west or even southwest
is expected overnight, although remaining below 10 MPH. RH values
remain in the upper teens across the county. Steadily increasing
values are expected after sunset with RH`s improving to the lower
30 percent range by 6 PM. Very high to extreme fire danger is
expected once again on Monday. Northwesterly winds will once again
increase to sustained 20-25 MPH with gusts 30-35 MPH by midday
Monday. Minimum RH values look to reach the upper 20s to near 30
percent.
