This hazardous weather outlook is for east central...north
central and northeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and tonight.

A few thunderstorms will continue in far northeast Kansas through
5 PM. Cloud to ground lightning and gusty winds will be the
primary hazards.

A Wind Advisory is in effect from 8 AM to 7 PM for areas along
and south of Interstate 70. Sustained winds near 30 MPH with
gusts up to 50 MPH.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Strong to severe thunderstorms will impact the area Thursday
evening after 7 PM into the overnight hours. These storms are
likely to develop to the southwest and quickly move into the local
area. Damaging winds and very large hail will be possible with
the strongest storms, with tornadoes possible mainly near and
south of Interstate 70. Heavy rain may also cause flash flooding,
particularly in north central Kansas where heavy rain has already
saturated soils this week.

Additional thunderstorms are likely on Friday. There is
considerable uncertainty in the details of severe weather
potential on Friday, but there are signals that the potential
exists for all modes of severe weather through the day and
evening on Friday. Additionally, this will be a favorable setup
for heavy rain that may lead to flash flooding.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
