THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL...NORTH
CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

A POWERFUL STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING ACCUMULATING SNOW TO NORTHWEST
PORTIONS OF THE OUTLOOK AREA THIS EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY...WITH
RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED ACROSS THE REST OF THE AREA.

SNOW AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE WIDELY ACROSS THE AREA WITH
THE BEST CHANCE FOR HEAVY SNOW NORTH OF A CONCORDIA TO WASHINGTON
LINE. NORTH OF THIS LINE...4 TO 10 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED...WITH
THE HEAVIEST AMOUNTS IN NORTHERN REPUBLIC COUNTY. THESE AREAS THAT
RECEIVE THE HEAVIEST SNOW CAN ALSO EXPECT PERIODS OF NEAR ZERO
VISIBILITY AND DRIFTING SNOW AS WINDS WILL GUST 30 TO 40 MPH.

AREAS NEAR AND SOUTH OF THE CONCORDIA TO WASHINGTON LINE WILL SEE
A SHARP GRADIENT OF LESS THAN ONE INCH UP TO NEAR 4
INCHES...DEPENDING ON THE EXACT LOCATION OF THE RAIN TO SNOW
TRANSITION LINE. WINTER STORM WARNINGS AND ADVISORIES HAVE BEEN
POSTED FOR NORTH CENTRAL AND PARTS OF NORTHEAST KANSAS TONIGHT
THROUGH TUESDAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS NORTHERN KANSAS THROUGH
TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND POSSIBLY INTO THE EARLY EVENING...MAINLY
NORTH OF INTERSTATE 70. ANY LOCATIONS THAT EXPERIENCE HEAVY SNOW
CAN EXPECT CONTINUED BLOWING AND DRIFTING.
