THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL...NORTH
CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

STRONG SOUTHERLY WINDS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS
THROUGH THE LATE AFTERNOON HOURS. SUSTAINED WINDS AROUND 30 MPH
WITH GUSTS AROUND 45 MPH ARE EXPECTED AND A WIND ADVISORY IS IN
EFFECT FOR THIS AREA.

THE RANGELAND FIRE DANGER INDEX WILL BE IN THE VERY HIGH CATEGORY
THIS AFTERNOON FOR MOST OF THE AREA NORTH AND WEST OF THE KANSAS
TURNPIKE.

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE TODAY MAINLY NORTH AND
WEST OF THE KANSAS TURNPIKE. THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE
ACROSS THE AREA OVERNIGHT TONIGHT AHEAD OF AN ADVANCING COLD
FRONT. SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS IN NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS COULD
BECOME SEVERE WITH QUARTER SIZE HAIL AND WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH
LATER THIS EVENING.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS MAY LINGER INTO THE MID MORNING HOURS ON
THURSDAY ACROSS FAR EASTERN KANSAS.

AN AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS MAY DEVELOP LATE FRIDAY NIGHT IN EASTERN
KANSAS...AND MAY BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL.

THE PERIOD FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING HAS THE
POTENTIAL FOR A MULTI DAY...POSSIBLY SIGNIFICANT...SEVERE WEATHER
EVENT WITH ALL WEATHER HAZARDS POSSIBLE INCLUDING TORNADOES VERY
LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. THE DETAILS OF THIS TIME PERIOD
REMAIN UNCERTAIN...BUT THE INGREDIENTS ARE CERTAINLY COMING
TOGETHER TO INDICATE THE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERAL ROUNDS OF SEVERE
WEATHER.
