Rating: EF3 Estimated Peak Wind: 140 mph Path Length /statute/: 2.58 miles Path Width /maximum/: 100 yards Fatalities: 1 Injuries: 3 Start Date: 04/30/2024 Start Time: 04:40 PM CDT Start Location: 1 W Westmoreland / Pottawatomie County / KS Start Lat/Lon: 39.3906 / -96.443 End Date: 04/30/2024 End Time: 04:48 PM CDT End Location: 1 NE Westmoreland / Pottawatomie County / KS End Lat/Lon: 39.4036 / -96.3982 Survey Summary: A strong tornado touched down approximately 1.5 miles southwest of Westmoreland and traveled through the city producing significant damage to homes along a 50-100 yard wide path.
