...SHAWNEE COUNTY...

.DISCUSSION...

AVIATION...(FOR THE 18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z SATURDAY AFTERNOON)
ISSUED AT 1152 AM CDT FRI AUG 29 2014

LATEST SATELLITE IMAGERY SUGGEST A CLOSED UPPER CIRCULATION WAS
JUST WEST OF MHK WITH SOME SUBSIDENCE MOVING INTO THE AREA.
BECAUSE OF THIS THINK THE BETTER FORCING FOR ADDITIONAL PRECIP MAY
LIKELY REMAIN NORTH AND EAST OF THE TERMINALS AND THE FORECAST
ANTICIPATES VFR CONDITIONS PREVAILING. THERE IS A BIT OF
UNCERTAINTY IN WHETHER THE BOUNDARY LAYER WILL BE CONDUCIVE FOR
GROUND FOG SINCE MANY LOCATIONS ONLY RECEIVED A COUPLE HUNDREDTHS
AND SOME VERY WEAK DRY AIR ADVECTION MAY TAKE PACE OVERNIGHT.
