REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR EASTERN KANSAS

AT LATE MORNING A SLOW MOVING COLD FRONT EXTENDED FROM CENTRAL
MISSOURI TO CENTRAL OKLAHOMA. MUCH COOLER AIR IN THE WAKE OF THE
FRONT CONTINUED TO FILTER INTO THE KANSAS REGION. LIGHT RAIN WAS
ALSO OCCURRING IN PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST INTO SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS.
HOWEVER, REPORTED AMOUNTS WERE GENERALLY UNDER A TENTH OF AN INCH
AND LIMITED TO AREAS MAINLY NEAR AND JUST SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 50.
TEMPERATURES ACROSS CENTRAL AND EASTERN KANSAS RANGED FROM THE
UPPER 30S NEAR THE NEBRASKA BORDER WITH SOME SUNSHINE, TO THE
MIDDLE 40S ALONG THE OKLAHOMA BORDER.

AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE OVER THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN HIGH PLAINS
WILL MOVE EASTWARD ACROSS THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON. AS IT
DOES, SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN KANSAS AND
NORTHERN OKLAHOMA. HIGHS ACROSS THE REGION WILL RANGE FROM THE 50S
IN NEBRASKA TO THE 60S IN OKLAHOMA AND ARKANSAS.

FOR TONIGHT, A FEW SHOWERS MAY LINGER FROM FAR SOUTHEAST KANSAS
INTO SOUTHERN MISSOURI AND ARKANSAS. OTHERWISE, SKIES WILL BECOME
MOSTLY CLEAR ACROSS MUCH OF THE REMAINDER OF THE REGION. LOWS
TONIGHT WILL BE IN THE 40S ACROSS MUCH OF OKLAHOMA...SOUTHERN
MISSOURI AND ARKANSAS. THE REMAINDER OF THE REGION WILL SEE
LOWS MAINLY IN THE 30S.
