...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN GEARY...EASTERN
RILEY...NORTHEASTERN MORRIS...WESTERN WABAUNSEE...WESTERN
POTTAWATOMIE AND SOUTHEASTERN MARSHALL COUNTIES THROUGH 300 AM CDT...

At 236 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 4 miles east of Blue Rapids
to 3 miles north of Ogden to near Parkerville. Movement was east at
35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow
         around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor
         objects and vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Manhattan, Blue Rapids, Westmoreland, Blaine, Ogden, Grandview Plaza,
Frankfort, St. George, White City, Alta Vista, Dwight, Olsburg,
Parkerville, Keats, Tuttle Creek Lake, Volland, and Council Grove
Lake.

This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 300 and 321.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for
northeastern and east central Kansas.
