TUESDAY EVENING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TOPEKA HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY
EVENING.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL BEGIN ON MONDAY AFTERNOON...BECOME HEAVY
  EARLY TUESDAY MORNING...AND CONTINUE THROUGH THE DAY ON TUESDAY
  BEFORE COMING TO AN END AROUND MIDNIGHT.

* ACCUMULATION...THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE FOR 6 TO 12 INCHES ACROSS
  MUCH OF THE WATCH AREA WITH SOME POTENTIAL FOR LOCALLY HIGHER
  AMOUNTS. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THE SOUTHEAST SIDE OF THE HEAVY
  SNOW WILL HAVE A VERY SHARP CUTOFF TO ONLY MINOR ACCUMULATION.

* WIND...WINDS WILL FREQUENTLY GUST 30 TO 40 MPH...AND
  OCCASIONALLY HIGHER. WINDS WILL BE FROM THE NORTHEAST ON MONDAY
  EVENING...EVENTUALLY TURNING FROM THE NORTHWEST BY LATE TUESDAY.

* VISIBILITY...PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOW AND STRONG WIND WILL LEAD TO
  TIMES OF NEAR ZERO VISIBILITY.

* MAIN IMPACT...ANY AREAS THAT RECEIVE THE HEAVY SNOW CAN EXPECT
  TRAVEL TO BE DIFFICULT OR NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE...AND VERY DANGEROUS
  GIVEN THE POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT DRIFTING AND VISIBILITY
  RESTRICTIONS.

A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT
SNOW ACCUMULATIONS THAT MAY SEVERELY IMPACT TRAVEL. PREPARE TO
CHANGE TRAVEL PLANS BASED ON THIS STORM...OR FOR THE POTENTIAL TO
NOT BE ABLE TO TRAVEL FOR A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF TIME.
