...HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 8 AM PST SUNDAY FOR
THE CITY OF OCEAN SHORES IN GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SEATTLE HAS ISSUED A HIGH SURF
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 8 AM PST SUNDAY.

* SEAS...A NORTHWEST SWELL OF 14 TO 16 FEET WITH A PERIOD OF 13
  SECONDS DEVELOPING OFF VANCOUVER ISLAND IS EXPECTED TO MOVE
  ONTO THE CENTRAL COAST OF WASHINGTON SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY
  MORNING.

* TIMING...THE SWELL IS EXPECTED TO COINCIDE WITH THE TIME OF
  HIGH TIDE...ALLOWING FOR HIGH SURF CONDITIONS TO BE PRESENT FROM
  4 AM TO 8 AM PST SUNDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...THIS STATEMENT IS BEING ISSUED TWO DAYS IN ADVANCE OF
  THE EVENT TO AID IN PLANNING FOR THE CITY OF OCEAN SHORES. THE
  COMBINATION OF THE EXPECTED SWELL AND HIGH TIDE MAY RESULT IN
  FURTHER BEACH EROSION NORTH OF THE GRAYS HARBOR BAR NORTH JETTY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF IS EXPECTED TO AFFECT
BEACHES IN THE ADVISORY AREA...PRODUCING LOCALIZED BEACH EROSION.
