...HIGH SURF ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PST SATURDAY...

* Timing...Peak surf through tonight, slowly diminishing Wednesday
  through Thursday, then increasing again Friday through Saturday.

* Peak Surf...5 to 9 feet with sets 10 to 13 feet. Highest sets
  in southern San Diego County.

* Tides...5.75 ft at 8:40 AM Wednesday and 5.60 ft at 9:10 AM
  Thursday.

* Impacts...Large breaking waves, very strong rip currents, waves
  overtopping jetties and coastal rock formations and sneaker
  waves. Minor coastal flooding and beach erosion during high
  tides.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Surf Advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area...producing rip currents, beach erosion and
dangerous swimming conditions.
