...REMARKS...THIS MONTH WAS OVER THREE DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL ON BOTH
THE HIGH AND LOW TEMPERATURES. TWO HIGH TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE SET
THIS MONTH WHEN TEMPERATURES CLIMBED INTO THE 70S. THE FIRST WAS ON
THE 6TH WHEN THE TEMPERATURE TOPPED OUT AT 78 DEGREES...BREAKING THE
OLD RECORD OF 70 DEGREES SET IN 2009. THIS WAS STILL BELOW THE
MONTHLY RECORD OF 80 DEGREES WHICH HAS BEEN SET TWICE ON THE 9TH IN
1980 AND THE 30TH IN 2014. ON THE 17TH THE TEMPERATURE CLIMBED TO 71
DEGREES BREAKING THE OLD RECORD OF 67 DEGREES WHICH WAS SET IN 1983.
BOTH OF THE NEW RECORDS WERE SET WITH HIGH PRESSURE AND OFFSHORE
FLOW OVER THE AREA.

LOW TEMPERATURES WERE ALSO WELL ABOVE NORMAL. THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE
FOR THE MONTH WAS 42 DEGREES. THIS IS NOT A RECORD...HOWEVER LOW
TEMPERATURES FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH OF APRIL HAVE NOT STAYED ABOVE 40
DEGREES SINCE 1994.

ALTHOUGH IT FELL AT FAIRLY REGULAR INTERVALS THROUGHOUT THE MONTH
RAINFALL WAS SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL. ALL THE SEASONAL TOTALS REMAIN
ABOVE NORMAL
