WHILE MISSING OUT ON THE HEAVIER RAINS THAT OCCURRED JUST NORTH OF
THE AREA...LINCOLN RECEIVED 5.90 INCHES OF RAINFALL THROUGH THE
MONTH OF JUNE...WHICH WAS THE 26TH WETTEST JUNE ON RECORD IN OMAHA
AND WAS 1.55 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL.  THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF
73.9 DEGREES WAS 1.3 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.

ACTIVE WEATHER BEGAN EARLY IN JUNE.  ABOVE-AVERAGE TEMPERATURES WERE
NOTED FROM THE 1ST THROUGH THE 6TH....ALONG WITH THUNDERSTORMS AND
SUBSTANTIAL RAINFALL ON THE 1ST...3RD...4TH...AND 7TH.  BELOW-NORMAL
TEMPERATURES FOLLOWED FROM THE 7TH THROUGH THE 13TH...WITH A DRY
SPELL FROM THE 8TH THROUGH THE 14TH.  WARMER TEMPERATURES RETURNED
ON THE 14TH...WITH NEAR TO ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES CONTINUING
THROUGH MOST OF THE REST OF JUNE.  ACTIVE WEATHER ALSO RETURNED MID-
MONTH...WITH THUNDERSTORMS BRINGING RAIN ON THE 15TH AND 16TH AS THE
STRONGEST STORMS REMAINED NORTH OF THE AREA.  THE 19TH THROUGH THE
29TH WAS ESPECIALLY ACTIVE...WITH THUNDERSTORMS BRINGING MEASURABLE
RAIN ON 8 OF THOSE 11 DAYS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ON THE 20TH BROUGHT
WINDS GUSTING TO 58 MPH.

TEMPERATURES IN JUNE REACHED 90 DEGREES OR GREATER ON SEVEN
DAYS...BELOW THE AVERAGE OF 8 DAYS...WITH THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE OF
95 DEGREES ON THE 18TH AND 20TH.
