LINCOLN. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 73.4 DEGREES WAS 0.8 DEGREES
ABOVE NORMAL.

THE FIRST HALF OF THE MONTH WAS ESPECIALLY RAINY...WITH MORE
PERSISTENT ABOVE-NORMAL TEMPERATURES.  FROM THE 1ST THROUGH THE
15TH...MEASURABLE RAIN FELL ON 8 DAYS...TOTALING 7.04 INCHES.  THE
RAINIEST DAY OF THE MONTH WAS THE 10TH...WITH 2.02 INCHES OF RAIN
THAT ALSO WAS A DAILY RECORD.  TWO OTHER DAYS IN THE FIRST HALF OF
THE MONTH SAW RAINFALL OF AN INCH OR GREATER: THE 11TH...WITH 1.00
INCHES...AND THE 15TH...WITH 1.63 INCHES. THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES
OF THE MONTH OCCURRED ON THE 1ST AND 16TH...WITH A LOW OF 54...WHILE

SEVERAL DAYS LATE IN THE MONTH.  MEASURABLE RAIN FELL ON JUST TWO
DAYS...TOTALLING 0.62 INCHES...ON THE 18TH AND 30TH.

THE TOTAL RAINFALL OF 18.56 INCHES IN MAY-JUNE WAS THE WETTEST SUCH
PERIOD ON RECORD...TOPPING THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 17.40 INCHES IN
1967.
