.SUMMARY...

EVEN THOUGH AVERAGE TEMPERATURES WERE WARMER THIS SPRING...READINGS
WERE STILL BELOW THE 30-YEAR AVERAGE FOR THE 3-MONTH SEASON FROM
MARCH 1ST-MAY 31ST. OVER ALL...READINGS WERE VERY SIMILAR TO LAST SPRING.
HOWEVER...TEMPERATURES WERE WARMER IN APRIL AND MAY...AND COLDER IN MARCH.

THE BIG STORY THIS SPRING WAS THE COLD IN EARLY MARCH...WHERE PINE
BLUFF SAW SOME OF THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES EVER RECORDED IN THE
MONTH OF MARCH...AS WELL AS THE CLIMATOLOGICAL SPRING. ALSO...SLEET
AND SNOW FELL.

THERE WAS ANOTHER COLD SNAP IN MID AND LATE MARCH...WITH LIGHT SNOW
FALLING ON THE 16TH AND 17TH.

TEMPERATURES GRADUALLY WARMED THROUGH APRIL...THOUGH THERE WAS
READINGS CAME WITHIN FOUR DEGREES OF FREEZING ON THE 15TH AND 16TH.
DURING MAY...THE WARMEST READINGS CAME EARLY IN THE FIRST WEEK...AND
BY MID MONTH...TEMPERATURES HAD FALLEN INTO THE 40S.

.TEMPERATURES...
AVERAGE HIGH...LOW AND SEASONAL TEMPERATURES...EVEN THOUGH BELOW THE
30-YEAR AVERAGE...WERE THE WARMEST SINCE 2012.

THERE WERE 9 DAYS WITH LOW TEMPERATURES AT OR BELOW FREEZING...
WHICH WAS THE MOST SINCE THE SPRING OF 1980. THERE WERE TWO DAYS
WITH A HIGH TEMPERATURE AT OR BELOW FREEZING...WHICH WAS THE MOST
SINCE 1960...AND TIED SPRING 1892 AND 1960 FOR THE MOST ON RECORD.

THERE WAS ONE DAY WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES AT OR ABOVE 90 DEGREES...
WHICH WAS THE MOST SINCE 2012.

.RAINFALL...
FOR THE SECOND SPRING IN A ROW...RAINFALL WAS ABOVE THE 30-YEAR
AVERAGE. IT WAS THE WETTEST SPRING SINCE 2011. THERE WERE 34 DAYS
WITH MEASURABLE RAINFALL...WHICH WAS THE MOST SINCE 2009.
