.ABUNDANT MOISTURE AND A SERIES OF UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES...WILL
PRODUCE SEVERAL ROUNDS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FROM TONIGHT
INTO THE 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND.

THESE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY TO PRODUCE WIDESPREAD
AVERAGE RAINFALL TOTALS OF 2 TO 5 INCHES THROUGH THE EVENING OF
THE 4TH OF JULY. LOCALLY HEAVIER AMOUNTS OF RAIN ARE POSSIBLE...
AND SHOWERS AND STORMS COULD ALSO BE WIDESPREAD AGAIN ON SUNDAY.

THE MONTH OF JUNE ENDED ON A WET NOTE...WITH WET WEATHER CARRYING
OVER INTO JULY. MANY LOCATIONS ACROSS THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU AND
SOUTHEAST TENNESSEE HAD RECEIVED AS MUCH AS 3 TO 5 INCHES OF RAIN
EARLIER THIS WEEK. HOURLY RAINFALL RATES UNDER THE HEAVIER SHOWERS
AND STORMS COULD EASILY REACH 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR...WHICH COULD
LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING.
