...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM CDT FOR
EASTERN HASKELL AND WESTERN THROCKMORTON COUNTIES...

AT 915 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE THUNDERSTORMS
PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. DOPPLER ESTIMATED
RAINFALL TOTALS OF GREATER THAN FIVE INCHES HAVE FALLEN IN RURAL
AREAS OF WESTERN THROCKMORTON COUNTY. FLASH FLOODING IS LIKELY
OCCURRING IN EASTERN HASKELL AND WESTERN THROCKMORTON COUNTIES.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
STAMFORD...LAKE STAMFORD MARINA...IRBY...
MILLERS CREEK RESERVOIR AND THE INTERSECTION OF US-380 AND HIGHWAY
222.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF UP TO AN INCH ARE POSSIBLE IN THE
WARNED AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND...DON`T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...FARMLAND...AND OTHER LOW LYING
SPOTS.
