THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EAST CENTRAL QUAY COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL NEW MEXICO

* UNTIL 1230 AM MDT

* AT 1025 PM MDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  VERY HEAVY RAIN FROM A THUNDERSTORM 11 MILES WEST OF GLENRIO...OR
  ABOUT 27 MILES SOUTH OF NARA VISA. THE STORM PRODUCING VERY HEAVY
  RAIN WAS NEARLY STATIONARY. RADAR ESTIMATED BETWEEN 2 AND 2.5
  INCHES OCCURRED WITH THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE AREA EARLIER THIS
  EVENING...AND THE NEXT ROUND OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE ANOTHER
  1 TO 2 INCHES. FLASH FLOODING IS LIKELY ALONG HIGHWAYS 392 AND
  469 AROUND PORTER...AS WELL AS BUT NOT LIMITED TO CR 72...CR 70...
  AND CR J. THIS HEAVY RAINFALL WILL IMPACT TUSCOCOILLO CANYON...
  RANA CANYON...FROST CREEK...TRUJILLO CREEK...AND ALL OTHER MINOR
  DRAINAGES LEADING INTO THE CANADIAN RIVER.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DO NOT DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. MANY FLASH
FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.
