...THE SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR RAPID RISES REMAINS IN EFFECT
UNTIL 530 PM AKDT MONDAY FOR The Northwest Brooks Range...

At 422 PM AKDT, A weather front moving across the northwest Brooks
Range has produced 1 to 2 inches of rain through 4 pm Sunday and
rain will continue through tonight before tapering off to showers on
Monday afternoon. Locations north of Ambler and Kobuk can expect
over 2 inches of rain before the event ends.

Rapid rises on small streams draining the northwest Brooks Range
will continue into Monday. Some small streams will rise overbank and
result in minor flooding. Many other streams and small rivers will
be near bankfull. Larger rivers in this area will experience sharp
rises over the next several days, but flooding of the larger rivers
is not expected at this time.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
