FLOOD STATEMENT

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Colorado...

  Cache La Poudre River near Greeley affecting Weld County.
  South Platte River near Kersey affecting Weld County.

.Warm temperatures the next several days will bring more rapid
snowmelt. This will lead to higher flows on mountain streams...
which will then affect rivers on the plains. The Cache La Poudre
and South Platte Rivers are already running high from May rainfall.
Additional water from snowmelt will cause minor flooding along
these rivers in Weld County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.
Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected.
Heed road signs at low water crossings. Turn around...do not drown.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Cache La Poudre River near Greeley.
* from late tonight until further notice...or until the stream falls
  below flood stage.
* At 2:30 PM Monday the stage was 7.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by early Tuesday morning and
  continue to rise to near 8.4 feet by Wednesday evening.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the South Platte River near Kersey.
* from Wednesday afternoon to Sunday afternoon...or until the stream
  falls below flood stage.
* At 1:30 PM Monday the stage was 9.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Wednesday afternoon and
  continue to rise to near 10.2 feet by Thursday morning.The river
  will fall below flood stage by Sunday morning.
* Impact...At 10.0 feet...Considerable lowland and meadow flooding
  occurs. Water is to the base of several bridges in the area.
