FLOOD STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON/GALVESTON, TX
933 AM CDT MON MAY 2 2016


The river flood warning has been cancelled for the Middle Yegua Creek...Peach
Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons are urged to stay away from the river until water levels recede.

Motorists should avoid any water covered roads and find an alternate route.

Livestock and equipment should remain out of the flood plain for the next few
days.



Stay tuned to NOAA Weather radio or other news sources for further updates.

The Flood Warning is canceled for
  The Peach Creek Near Splendora
* At 0900 AM Monday the stage was 12.6 feet.
* Fell below flood stage at  7:21 AM Monday.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to 12.1 feet by
  Tuesday morning.
* At 13.0 feet...Minor lowland flooding begins as water escapes the main
  channel.

The Flood Warning is canceled for
  The Middle Yegua Creek NEAR Dime Box
* At 0915 AM Monday the stage was 10.0 feet.
* Fell below flood stage at  9:00 AM Monday.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to 9.4 feet by
  Tuesday morning.
* At 10.0 feet...Minor lowland flooding begins as water spills into the flood
  plain in the vicintiy of the gage. FM 141 below the confluence with West Yegua
  Creek is threatened and backwater flooding up West Yegua and Turkey Creeks in
  Lee County is likely.
