EDT FOR THE NORTHWESTERN DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AND SOUTHEASTERN
MONTGOMERY COUNTIES...

AT 1147 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR AND AUTOMATED RAIN GAUGES INDICATED
FLOODING ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. UP TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAVE
ALREADY FALLEN. EMERGENCY OFFICIALS REPORT KNOWLES AVENUE AND BEACH
DRIVE ARE CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER.

FLOOD WATERS ARE MOVING DOWN ROCK CREEK FROM KENSINGTON TO
WASHINGTON DC.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO
HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO
FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
