Flood Statement

...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...Kentucky...Missouri...

  Ohio River at Cairo affecting Alexander...Pulaski...Ballard...
  Carlisle...Fulton...Hickman and Mississippi Counties

.River levels will rise slowly through Friday morning on the Ohio River
at Cairo. Water levels should then begin to fall but are expected to remain
above flood stage through next weekend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Ohio River at Cairo.
* until Tuesday June 06.
* At 10:00 AM Monday the stage was 41.9 feet.
* Flood Stage is 40.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 43.0 feet by
  Friday morning. The river will then slowly fall through next
  weekend.
