Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
346 PM MDT Sat May 27 2017

.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Sunday...A slightly unstable airmass and
northwesterly flow aloft over Colorado will keep scattered rain
showers and a few thunderstorms going through the early eveing.
The airmass will become more stable overnight. On Sunday,
northwest flow aloft and daytime heating will cause the airmass
over the mountains to become unstable with scattered afternoon
thunderstorms. The airmass on th plains will remain dry and
stable.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Sunday night through Thursday...
High pressure building over the western U.S. will bring warmer and drier
conditions next week. There should be enough moisture and
instability for afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.
Most of these will be over the higher terrain. Due to the high
pressure system, winds will be light Sunday and early next week.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
