Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Northern Vermont and
Northern New York
National Weather Service Burlington VT
413 AM EDT Fri Jul 21 2017

...Isolated Showers And Storms This Afternoon...

.DISCUSSION...
Most of the area will remain dry today...but a front will be
moving down from Canada this afternoon and will have the potential
to produce isolated showers and storms over northeast New York and
the northern third of Vermont. Areas along and north of a line
from Burlington to Saint Johnsbury will have the potential to see
wind gusts in the 30 to 40 mph range with any of the showers or
storms. Again areal coverage of the showers and storms should
generally be isolated. The showers and storms end early this
evening and dry weather is expected tonight into most of Saturday
as the flow aloft is generally west to northwest. No real concerns
are expected with afternoon minimum relative humidities in the 45
to 55 percent range and winds generally under 10 mph. The pattern
will change Sunday into Monday with the flow aloft becoming more
southwest with time. This will help increase clouds...humidity
values...and precipitation chances across the area Sunday into
Monday and evening lingering a bit into Tuesday.
