Fire Weather Planning Forecast for northern Arizona
National Weather Service Flagstaff AZ
346 PM MST Tue May 23 2017

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH
THURSDAY EVENING DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR
PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL AND EASTERN ARIZONA...

+++ Thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds +++

+++ 20-foot wind forecast of `light winds` indicates mainly
    terrain driven winds +++
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

.DISCUSSION...On Wednesday, expect warm and very dry conditions,
along with increasing southwest winds. On Thursday, critical fire
weather conditions are possible as low relative humidities
combine with strong southwest winds caused by a developing trough.
A Fire Weather Watch remains in effect for portions of north
central and eastern Arizona.

Friday through Sunday...Gusty southwest winds continue across
eastern zones on Friday. Lighter winds are forecast for the
weekend as high pressure builds in from the west.
