FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHEAST TEXAS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON/GALVESTON TX
306 PM CST MON DEC 22 2014

.DISCUSSION...
SOUTHWEST FLOW THIS AFTERNOON IS BRINGING UNSEASONABLY WARM AIR TO THE
REGION. INCREASING LOW LEVEL MOISTURE OVER NIGHT AHEAD OF TOMORROWS COLD
FRONT WILL MAKE FOR DECENT MORNING HUMIDITY RECOVERY.

A COLD FRONTAL PASSAGE TOMORROW WILL SET A STRONG NORTHWESTERLY FLOW IN PLACE
THROUGH MID WEEK. A LAYER OF COOL/DRY AIR ASSOCIATED WITH THE FRONT RUNNING
UNDER WARMER AIR ALOFT WILL PRODUCE MORE MODERATE MIXING HEIGHTS.

THERE IS A CHANCE OF SHOWERS WITH ISOLATED EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS
ON TUESDAY ASSOCIATED WITH THE APPROACHING COLD FRONT.
