FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
231 PM CST FRI JAN 30 2015

.DISCUSSION...
AN AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL MOVE EAST ACROSS THE OHIO VALLEY
BRINGING DRY AND SEASONABLY WARM CONDITIONS ON SATURDAY. THE MAIN
CONCERN IS THAT MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES MAY DROP CLOSE TO
25% FOR AROUND TWO HOURS DURING SATURDAY AFTERNOON...ESPECIALLY OVER
NORTHEAST ALABAMA. DESPITE THE POSSIBILITY OF CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER
CONDITIONS...WITH LIGHT WINDS...DISPERSION IS EXPECTED TO BE POOR ON
SATURDAY AFTERNOON. WIDESPREAD RAINFALL IS THEN EXPECTED DURING THE
DAY ON SUNDAY AS A STRONG COLD FRONT APPROACHES. RAINFALL MAY
ACTUALLY CHANGE TO SLEET OR LIGHT SNOW DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS ON
SUNDAY NIGHT...BEFORE ENDING BY MONDAY MORNING.

DRY WEATHER WILL THEN RETURN ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY WITH THE NEXT
CHANCE FOR RAIN ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY...POSSIBLY ENDING AS LIGHT
SNOW BY THURSDAY NIGHT.
