Fire Weather Planning Forecast For West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
504 AM CST Mon Feb 19 2018

.DISCUSSION...

Southwest 20-ft winds will increase today ahead of an upper trough
entering the Rockies. However, relative humidity will remain below
critical criteria. Thunderstorms will be possible over West Texas,
especially over the Lower Trans Pecos and southeast Permian Basin.
Temperatures will remain unseasonably warm through Tuesday night,
when a cold front will move through the region. Otherwise, RH will
bottom out at 19-52% this afternoon, and 13-48% Tuesday. RH recovery
overnight will be moderate to excellent.
