Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Inland Southeast Mississippi...
Southwest Alabama And The Extreme Western Florida Panhandle
National Weather Service Mobile AL
313 AM CDT Thu Mar 30 2017

...High(75+) Dispersion Indices Expected for most inland areas of Southwest Alabama,
Northwest Florida and Southeast Mississippi on Friday...

.DISCUSSION...A vigorous upper level disturbance combined with sufficient moisture and
instability in the lower levels of the atmosphere will lead to scattered to numerous showers
and thunderstorm across the forecast area later today and tonight. With strong forcing aloft
combined with good shear within the boundary layer the threat for strong to severe
thunderstorms continues for later today and tonight. Prolonged periods of very heavy rain
in the same area could lead to some localized flooding also, especially in areas of poor drainage.
Much drier conditions are expected in the wake of this system Friday through Saturday as a
surface cold front moves across the region early Friday. Relative humidity levels though are
expected to remain above critical thresholds.

Fog Potential And Other Remarks...Patchy morning fog will be possible mostly along and
east of the I-65 corridor early this morning. Patchy morning fog mostly around sunrise will
also be possible for most inland areas Friday through Saturday.
