FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NASHVILLE TN
226 PM CST THU JAN 19 2017

.DISCUSSION...

FIRE DANGER WILL REMAIN LOW FOR THE FORECAST PERIOD DUE TO SEVERAL
RAIN CHANCES ON TOP OF ALREADY WET GROUND. A WARM FRONT HAS LIFTED
THROUGH THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON LEADING TO SOUTHERLY WINDS AND
WARMING TEMPERATURES. RAIN WILL PULL OUT TONIGHT WITH A SHORT DRY
SPELL DURING THE DAY ON FRIDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT BEFORE TWO MORE
DISTURBANCES AFFECT THE AREA THIS WEEKEND. THUNDERSTORMS ARE A
POSSIBILITY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. WINDS WILL TURN TO THE NORTHWEST AND
INCREASE TO 10-15 MPH WITH GUST TO 25 MPH BEHIND A SURFACE LOW ON
SUNDAY EVENING THROUGH MONDAY MORNING. BEYOND MONDAY... WEDNESDAY
WILL BE THE BEST CHANCE OF RAIN AS A WEAK FRONT PASSES THROUGH. THE
FRONTAL PASSAGE LOOKS MOISTURE STARVED HOWEVER SO ONLY A SLIGHT RAIN
CHANCE LOOKS LIKELY. RH VALUES WILL REMAIN ABOVE CRITICAL THRESHOLDS
FOR THE FORECAST PERIOD.
