Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Washington and North Idaho
National Weather Service Spokane WA
553 AM PDT Sat Jun 24 2017

.DISCUSSION...

...GUSTY WINDS WITH LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY MONDAY AND TUESDAY OF
NEXT WEEK...

The region will undergo a dry warming trend courtesy of
strengthening high pressure. Widespread 90s are likely Sunday and
Monday. Sunday and Monday will also be quite unstable promoting
haines indices of 5, locally 6. Gap winds will be on the increase
for Monday afternoon and spread across the Basin Monday evening
and Tuesday. The winds coupled with low humidity will bring the
potential for rapid fire spread with any new starts. Temperatures
cool back to normal Wednesday and Thursday then warm again by the
week. There are a few chances for showers or t-storms in the
Idaho Panhandle and southeastern WA but overall, a dry pattern is
expected for the Inland Northwest.
