FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EASTERN WASHINGTON AND NORTH IDAHO
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPOKANE WA
313 PM PDT TUE SEP 1 2015

.DISCUSSION...
A WEAKENING COLD FRONT WILL PASS THROUGH EASTERN WASHINGTON AND
NORTH IDAHO EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING. THE RAIN SHADOW EAST OF THE
CASCADES WILL LIMIT ANY MEANINGFUL PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS TO THE
CASCADE CREST AND THE MOUNTAINS OF THE IDAHO PANHANDLE. LOOK FOR
ANOTHER DAY OF BREEZY WEST OR SOUTHWEST WINDS ON WEDNESDAY BEHIND
THE COLD FRONT. A COOL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BRING A CHANCE FOR
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO THE MOUNTAINOUS DISTRICTS THURSDAY
AND FRIDAY...BUT WETTING RAINS WITH THESE SHOWERS LOOKS TO BE HIT
AND MISS. BY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NORTH WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO
FUNNEL DOWN THE OKANOGAN VALLEY BRINGING DRIER AIR INTO THE REGION
FOR THE WEEKEND. RAIN CHANCES ARE EXPECTED TO GRADUALLY DECREASE
FROM WEST TO EAST OVER THE WEEKEND.
