FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK
348 PM CDT WED APR 23 2014

RED FLAG...NONE.

.DISCUSSION...
GUSTY SOUTHERLY WINDS IN THE 20 TO 35 MPH RANGE AND WARMER
TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON HAVE CREATED AREAS OF HIGH TO VERY
HIGH FIRE DANGER ACROSS PARTS OF NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA. SOUTHERLY
WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN BREEZY THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT
AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT APPROACHING THE REGION. THIS WILL ALLOW FOR
THUNDERSTORM CHANCES TO BECOME POSSIBLE OVERNIGHT TONIGHT AND
CONTINUE DURING THE DAY THURSDAY AS THE COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH
THE REGION. A LIMITED POTENTIAL OF SEVERE WEATHER WILL BE POSSIBLE
WITH THE THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY. LARGE HAIL AND STRONG WINDS LOOK
TO BE THE MAIN HAZARDS. BEHIND THE COLD FRONT THURSDAY...BREEZY
NORTHERLY WINDS COULD CREATE AREAS OF FIRE WEATHER DANGER OVER
PARTS OF NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA AGAIN.
