...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

A WEAK SYSTEM WILL PASS ACROSS THE AREA TODAY INTO TONIGHT BRINGING
ABUNDANT CLOUDS WITH IT. A FEW SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE IN THE HIGHER
ELEVATIONS OF THE SOUTHERN GREAT BASIN. AN AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE IS
EXPECTED TO BUILD OFF OF CALIFORNIA SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY KEEPING
THE AREA DRY AND MILD. A STORM SYSTEM SHOULD PASS IN OR NEAR THE
AREA BETWEEN CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS DAY USHERING IN A DROP IN
TEMPERATURES FOR THE END OF NEXT WEEK.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL STRENGTHEN NEAR THE CALIFORNIA COAST
THROUGH TUESDAY BRINGING A WARMING TREND. SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE OVER
THE GREAT BASIN FOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY WILL BRING GUSTY NORTHEAST
WINDS NEAR THE COASTAL FOOTHILLS WITH LOWER HUMIDITIES. A TROUGH OF
LOW PRESSURE MOVING SOUTHEASTWARD ACROSS NEVADA AND CALIFORNIA FOR
CHRISTMAS DAY WILL BRING COOLING...HIGHER HUMIDITIES...AND GUSTY
WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS. SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE GREAT BASIN
WILL BRING GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS NEAR THE COASTAL FOOTHILLS FOR
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY WITH LOWER HUMIDITIES AND SLOW WARMING.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

HIGH PRESSURE WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE REST OF THE WEEKEND WITH
GRADUAL DRYING CONDITIONS AND MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES
WILL WARM BACK TOWARD NORMAL TODAY AND THEN A COUPLE DEGREES ABOVE
NORMAL ON SUNDAY. MINIMUM HUMIDITY VALUES WILL REMAIN FAIRLY
ELEVATED...MOSTLY ABOVE 35 PERCENT BOTH DAYS. WEAK FLOW ALOFT WILL
KEEP SURFACE WINDS ON THE LIGHT SIDE THROUGH SUNDAY.
