...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

A WEAK DISTURBANCE WILL BRING A SLIGHT CHANCE OF LIGHT SHOWERS TO
THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS IN SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA TONIGHT AND IN
SOUTHERN NEVADA AND NORTHWEST ARIZONA ON WEDNESDAY, OTHERWISE DRY
WEATHER IS EXPECTED THROUGH THURSDAY WITH TEMPERATURES A FEW
DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. A STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING A RISK OF DOWNSLOPE
WINDS ON THE EAST SLOPES OF THE SIERRA THURSDAY NIGHT AND STRONG
WEST WINDS ACROSS THE MOJAVE DESERT ON FRIDAY, ALONG WITH COOLER
TEMPERATURES FOR FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

ONE LAST DAY OF VERY DRY AND WARM CONDITIONS TODAY WITH LIGHT
OFFSHORE WINDS BEFORE COOLING AND ONSHORE FLOW RETURNS WEDNESDAY
THROUGH FRIDAY WITH INCREASING HUMIDITY. A DISTURBANCE MAY BRING
SOME SPRINKLES OR A THUNDERSTORM OR TWO LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
WEDNESDAY MORNING TO THE MOUNTAINS AND HIGH DESERTS WITH A SMALL
CHANCE FOR DRY LIGHTNING. WESTERLY WINDS WILL BECOME LOCALLY STRONG
AND GUSTY IN THE MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY.
BECOMING VERY DRY AGAIN SATURDAY THROUGH NEXT TUESDAY AS A STRONG
RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS ALOFT AND MODERATE SANTA ANA WINDS
DEVELOP. EXPECT DAY-TIME HUMIDITIES TO FALL TO AT LEAST 10 PERCENT
IF NOT THE SINGLE DIGITS STARTING SUNDAY WITH VERY POOR OVERNIGHT
RECOVERIES. THIS WILL LIKELY RESULT IN CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER
CONDITIONS SUNDAY THROUGH AT LEAST MONDAY.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

STRONG HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT OVER THE AREA WILL SLOWLY WEAKEN THROUGH
THE MIDDLE OF MIDDLE OF THE WEEK AS A SERIES OF WEAK DISTURBANCES
PASS BY TO THE NORTH OF PHOENIX. WHILE TEMPERATURES WILL STAY WELL
ABOVE SEASONAL NORMALS THROUGH THURSDAY, AND MINIMUM RH VALUES WELL
BELOW 15 PERCENT, THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT CHANCE OF MAINLY LIGHT
SHOWERS OVER SOUTH CENTRAL ARIZONA WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY.
AN ISOLATED AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORM IS ALSO POSSIBLE EAST OF PHOENIX
ON THURSDAY. WINDS WILL BE LIGHT WEDNESDAY BUT WILL BECOME LOCALLY
BREEZY FROM THE SOUTHWEST THURSDAY AFTERNOON, ESPECIALLY OVER
IMPERIAL COUNTY.
