.DISCUSSION...West to northwest winds of 15 to 25 mph are expected this afternoon.
Currently winds around the site are around 15 mph. There are scattered showers
in the area and any of these have the possibility of producing gusts to 40 mph.
A more significant line of showers and isolated thunderstorms from around Watford
City to Minot is expected to move southeast and is expected to reach the area
between 6 an 8 PM this evening. Winds with this system could produce local gusts to
50 mph. Winds are expected to shift more northwest late this afternoon. Winds are
then expected to diminish fairly quickly after 10 PM, to around 10 mph.
