SPOT FORECAST FOR FTGORDON_SAB...DOD
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA, SC
854 AM EDT TUE MAY 31 2016

FORECAST IS BASED ON IGNITION TIME OF 0850 EDT ON MAY 31.
IF CONDITIONS BECOME UNREPRESENTATIVE...CONTACT THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE.

.DISCUSSION...THE CENTER OF THE REMNANTS OF TROPICAL STORM
BONNIE WILL REMAIN NEAR THE NORTHEAST SOUTH CAROLINA COAST
TODAY. THIS LOW WILL DIRECT MAINLY A LIGHT NORTH-NORTHEAST
WIND INTO THE FORECAST AREA. HEATING MAY HELP SUPPORT THUNDERSTORMS
BUT WE EXPECT LITTLE COVERAGE BECAUSE OF SHALLOW MOISTURE.
BELIEVE THE THUNDERSTORM CHANCE IS AROUND 20 PERCENT THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING. MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY THIS AFTERNOON
WILL BE AROUND 40 PERCENT.

POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK INCLUDING OBSERVATIONS TAKEN AT
THE BURN SITE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. YOU CAN USE THE SAME
WEBPAGE WHERE YOU REQUESTED THE SPOT FORECAST FOR THIS. YOU MAY
ALSO CALL OUR OFFICE IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS. HYSPLIT
OUTPUT HEIGHTS FOR THE NWS COLUMBIA AREA ARE 300, 750 AND 1500 METERS.
THESE VALUES ARE DIFFERENT THAN SURROUNDING OFFICES.
