...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM MDT TUESDAY FOR GUSTY
WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY ALONG WITH POSSIBLE ISOLATED DRY
THUNDERSTORMS TONIGHT...

.DISCUSSION...
A cold front will drive a wind shift very close to the burn site
between now and the next hour or so. Northwest winds in a range of
10 to 20 mph with occasional gusts to 30 mph at times are
expected through this afternoon until around 3 PM. By this
evening, winds will diminish to under 10 mph at a north to
northeast direction. The other concern for tonight is the
potential for isolated dry thunderstorms which could produce gusty
and erratic winds as well as lightning. Lighter winds are
expected on Tuesday but low relative humidity readings are still
expected. As a ridge of high pressure builds into the region, hot
and dry weather will largely dominate the area for the second half
of the week.
