...STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS TO DEVELOP OVERNIGHT...

A STRONG COLD FRONT IS CURRENTLY PUSHING ACROSS SOUTH TEXAS AND IS
EXPECTED TO REACH THE BAYS BY MIDNIGHT AND ACROSS THE COASTAL
WATERS SHORTLY AFTER MIDNIGHT. WINDS BEHIND THE COLD FRONT WILL
SHIFT TO THE NORTH AND BRIEFLY STRENGTHEN TO SUSTAINED 30 KNOTS
WITH GUSTS BRIEFLY TO 45 KNOTS. WINDS WILL DECREASE THROUGH
SUNRISE TO 20 TO 25 KNOTS WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS. SEAS OF
10 TO 12 FEET CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS THE OFFSHORE WATERS. A SMALL
CRAFT ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR ALL MARINE AREAS. SCATTERED
THUNDERSTORMS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE WITH THE COLD FRONT...ESPECIALLY
NORTH OF PORT ARANSAS.
