...NORTHWEST GALES THIS MORNING TO EASE INTO THE AFTERNOON...

.ONGOING NORTHWEST GALES ACROSS LAKE HURON THIS MORNING WILL EASE
THROUGH THE AFTERNOON PERIOD AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE
REGION.  WINDS WILL SHIFT TO SOUTHWESTERLY ON SATURDAY IN THE WAKE
OF THIS HIGH.  ARCTIC FRONT SHIFT THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT WILL THEN
BRING AN INCREASING NORTHEAST WIND INTO SUNDAY.  THIS WILL RESULT IN
SOME GUSTS TO 30 KNOTS.

  WINDS UP TO 25 KNOTS FROM THE NORTHWEST WITH GUSTS UP TO 33
  KNOTS. THE LARGEST EXPECTED SIGNIFICANT WAVES WILL BE 6 FEET
  WITH A POTENTIAL MAXIMUM WAVE HEIGHT OF 8 FEET.

MARINERS NOT TRAINED TO OPERATE IN THESE CONDITIONS OR VESSELS
NOT PROPERLY EQUIPPED TO DO SO...REMAIN IN PORT OR AVOID THE
WARING AREA.

A GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OF 34 TO 47 KNOTS ARE IMMINENT OR
OCCURRING. OPERATING A VESSEL IN GALE CONDITIONS REQUIRES
EXPERIENCE AND PROPERLY EQUIPPED VESSELS. IT IS HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED THAT MARINERS WITHOUT THE PROPER EXPERIENCE SEEK SAFE
HARBOR PRIOR TO THE ONSET OF GALE CONDITIONS.
