Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from a SE Mississippi 1013 mb
low to 22N98W at Mexico coast. A trough is about 150 nm E of
front from 23N to 28N. The trough will drift eastward through
today and weaken. The front will extend from Tampa to NW Cuba
Tuesday morning, and be moving through FL Straits Wednesday
morning, and be completely out of area by Wednesday sunset.
Strong ridge in the wake of the front will bring fresh to strong
northerly winds into much of forecast waters from Tuesday
sunrise until Thursday midnight. Winds will diminish through
Thursday afternoon as the ridge shifts to the NE Gulf. The ridge
will weaken on Friday as another cold front moves across eastern
Texas, and into the NW Gulf on Friday night.
