BECAUSE OF VERY DRY WEATHER AND GUSTY WINDS...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TIYAN HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CHST FRIDAY. THE FIRE
WEATHER WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* AFFECTED AREA..PRIMARILY THE MOUNTAINS AND GRASSY AREAS OF
  SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL GUAM.

* WIND...EAST-NORTHEAST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH STRONGER AFTERNOON
  GUSTS.

* TEMPERATURES...DAYTIME HIGHS IN THE MID TO UPPER 80S.

* HUMIDITY...AS LOW AS 50 PERCENT.

* TIMING...MOST DANGEROUS TIMES WILL BE FROM THE LATE MORNING
  HOURS UNTIL SUNSET.

* IMPACTS...ANY FIRES THAT DEVELOP COULD SPREAD RAPIDLY. THIS IS
  ESPECIALLY TRUE FOR NORTH AND EAST-FACING SLOPES. OUTDOOR
  BURNING IS NOT RECOMMENDED AS FLYING EMBERS AND ASH MAY START
  SPOT FIRES DOWNWIND.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION OF
STRONG WINDS...LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...AND WARM TEMPERATURES WILL
CREATE EXPLOSIVE FIRE GROWTH POTENTIAL.
